Differential Thermal Analyzer (DTA)

Applications

Differential Thermal Analysis is used to measure energetic effects in a sample subjected to a controlled temperature program between room temperature and  1550°C.  It can perform analysis of:

  • Phase transition temperatures
  • Transition enthalpies
  • Glass transitions
  • Crystallisation behaviour
  • Decomposition behaviour
  • Phase diagrams
  • Influence of additives
  • Reaction kinetics
